Panthers Complete Summit League Championships

Alexander Sadowski and Genevieve Biberdorf highlight the Panthers final day of the Summit League Championships

Eastern Illinois swimming wrapped up their 2025-2026 season at the Summit League Championships. The Panthers competed in the four-day event, recording 21 top ten school marks and 5 new school records. The men's team placed 7th with 169 points. The women's team placed 7th with 161 points.  



Men's Swimming: 

Alexander Sadowski placed 9th in the 200 Yard Backstroke preliminary round with a time of 1:49.99. Sadowski advanced to the B final, in which he finished 9th with a time of 1:48.35, which is the fastest time in EIU history.  

Nolan Wallace narrowly made his way into the 200 Yard Breaststroke B final, placing 16th in the preliminary round with a time of 2:05.48. In the B final, he finished 14th with a time of 2:04.72, which is the 3rd best time in program history.  



Women's Swimming: 

Genevieve Biberdorf placed 7th in the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:20.34. Biberdorf advanced to the A final, in which she finished 6th with a time of 2:19.81, which is the second-fastest time in EIU history. 

Sophia Buswell placed 12th in the 200 Yard Butterfly with a time of 2:12.07. She advanced to the B final, in which she placed 11th with a time of 2:09.56, which is the third fastest time in program history.  



EIU recorded a total of 22 top ten program marks and broke six school records.

Alexander Sadowski - 200 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:48.35 

Luke Helm - 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 49.57 

Nolan Wallace - 100 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 55.80 

Alexander Sadowski - 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 48.49 

The 400 Medley Relay (Alexander Sadowski, Nolan Wallace, Luke Helm, Zachary Clark) - 3:18.78 

Genevieve Biberdorf - 100 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:04.22

  1. South Dakota – 799 Points 

  1. Nebraska Omaha – 533 Points 

  1. South Dakota State – 458 Points
