BRADLEY, Ill. -- The Eastern Illinois women's golf squad captured fifth place at the ten-team Bradley Invitational, as senior
Jaymie Voorhees led all Panther players for the fourth consecutive time this spring season.
Voorhees shot a three-round total of 83-75-72 to tie for 11th place out of 58 total competitors. It marks the senior's fourth Top 25 finish of the spring season and second best place as well.
Freshman
Lauren Williams tied for 23rd with a 237 score, while
Veronica Bernier tied for 29th.
Emily Calhoun,
Katie Imburgia, and
Kathryn Koester finished tied for 33rd, 35th and in 41st place, respectively.
Drake won the team event and also had an individual player pace all winners. The host Braves captured second, while Northern Iowa and Western Illinois took home third and fourth place, respectively.
The fifth-place Panthers finished ahead of regional foes Southern Illinois (6th), Dayton (7th), Loyola (8th), SIU-Edwardsville (9th) and Valparaiso (10th).
Eastern has one more spring event on tab, heading to Bowling Green, Ohio to compete in a three-day invitational at the Stone Ridge Golf Course on April 16-18. Then the Panthers will finish the season at the Ohio Valley Conference Championship on April 21-24 in Tennessee.
