WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Eastern Illinois men's tennis fell at Big Ten power Purdue on Saturday evening, as the Panthers drop to 1-3 on the season following the 7-0 loss to the Boilermakers at the Swartz Tennis Center in West Lafayette, Ind.

Eastern opened the match by dropping the all-important doubles point as Purdue (4-2) took all three matches for the early 1-0 team lead.

The Boilermakers then proceeded to down the Panthers in straight sets in each of the singles bouts.  That included freshman Kevin Bauman picking up his first career loss as a Panther at No. 5 singles.

The Panthers will next face Northern Illinois on Friday, Feb. 18, with first serve set for noon at the Danville Tennis Center.
