Bradley Men's Tennis
CHARLESTON, Ill. -- Hoping to snap a recent six-match losing streak, the Eastern Illinois men's tennis squad heads to Peoria on Wednesday (March 2) afternoon for a 1 pm contest at the Clubs at River City facility.
After picking up the team's first win at SIU-Edwardsville this past January, the Panthers have unfortunately dropped six consecutive matchups, all to a variety of Midwestern rivals.
Bradley, meanwhile, enters the match at 7-3 on the season while currently owning a 2-0 record at home.
Leading the Panther men's team in singles play is freshman Kevin Bauman who sports a 4-4 mark after having played four matches both at the No. 5 and No. 6 lineup spots.
Junior Matyas Hilgert is 3-5 overall, competing mostly at the No. 3 position in singles.
In doubles action, freshman Charlie Dryden and sophomore Michael Sperry have teamed up to own a 3-4 mark at No. 2 duos.
Following Wednesday's match Bradley, the Panther men will officially open the outdoor home portion of the schedule, hosting Kaskaskia College on Tuesday, March 8. The 2 pm contest is set to be played at EIU's own Rex Darling Courts, if the weather allows.
