CHARLESTON, Ill. -- Looking for the squad's first win of the season, Eastern Illinois men's tennis will visit instate rival Bradley on Wednesday (March 7) afternoon. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
The Panthers currently sport an 0-5 mark on the year, while Bradley enters the match at 5-8, which includes recent wins over Illinois-Chicago and IUPUI.
Eastern continues to be led by senior
Matyas Hilgert, who owns an even 2-2 overall singles mark, with both of his wins coming at the No. 2 spot in the lineup.
Unfortunately, EIU has a combined 4-26 overall record in singles action thus far this season, while all six competitors own identical 2-3 records in competitive doubles action.
Following Wednesday's contest, the Panthers will have a couple of weeks to prepare for the team's home opener versus Saint Francis (Ill.) on Thursday, March 22, with a 3 p.m. start at EIU's Rex Darling Courts.
