Arkansas State M-Golf Info
CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois men's golf are to complete at the two-day Red Wolf Intercollegiate to be hosted by Arkansas State at the Par 72, 6,565-yard RidgePoint Country Club in Jonesboro, Ark.
The three-round event will include 22 total competing squads. Besides the host Red Wolves and Panthers, other schools include UALR, Austin Peay, Belmont, DePaul, Drake, Jacksonville State, Louisiana-Monroe, Meridian CC, Missouri State, Murray STate, Northern Iowa, Oklahoma City, Oral Roberts, Southern Illinois, SIU Edwardsville, UT Martin, Tennessee Stte, Texas-Pan Am, Troy, and Vanderbilt.
At the same event last season, the Panthers finished a distant 15th place out of 18 squads competing.
Heading into the weekend, EIU is led on the links by senior
David Lawrence with a 72.4 stroke average. He already sports two individual medalist honors thus far this season and four Top 5 finishes.
Fellow seniors
Gino Parrodi and
Sean Dozier follow with averages of 73.1 and 76.7 marks, respectively, as Parrodi has finished in the Top 20 six times in 2010-11.
The Panthers last played at the Butler Florida Invitational on March 14-15, placing as team runner-ups as Parrodi earned his second consecutive runner-up individual honors.
