Three Men's Golfers Shoot Rounds Of 69 At Dolenc Invite

Panthers place 17th as a team in two-day event

Eastern Illinois men's golf had three golfers shoot rounds of two-under par 69 over the three rounds of competition at the 2025 SIUE Derek Dolenc Invitational played at Gateway National Links in Madison, Ill.
 
Alex Siatos opened with a round of 69 on Monday morning while Luke Watson and Jack Yewchuk both closed with rounds of 69 on Tuesday morning.
 
As a team EIU placed 17th in the field shooting a 54-hole score of 878.
 
Watson finished as the Panthers top golfer for the second time in three tournaments this season carding a 54-hole score of 215 to finish in a tie for 43rd.
 
Siatos was the Panthers opening round leader with the round of 69 and finished the tournament with a 54-hole total of 217 to finish in a tie for 60th.
 
Yewchuk's closing round of 69 brought his 54-hole score to 223, good for an 81st place finish.
 
Ian Hollander shot an even round of 71 on Tuesday as EIU posted a team score of 284 which was even par for a team round.  Hollander was tied for 82nd posting a score of 224.
 
Cole Jaworski closed out the EIU golfers in the tournament placing 93rd with a score of 234.  His best round of 76 came on Monday morning in the opening round. 
 
Idaho won the overall team title with the Vandals Samuel Johnson and Matthew Wilson of Weber State tied for individual medalist honors after being tied after two playoff holes.
