CHARLESTON, Ill. -- Eastern Illinois men's tennis will hit the road on Sunday (Feb. 16), as the Panthers travel to Dayton for a 1 p.m. match inside the Five Seasons Tennis Center.

The Panthers enter the contest with an even 2-2 early-season overall mark, as EIU split last weekend play, falling to Ball State, 6-1, but blanking Saint Francis (Ill.), 9-0.

The Flyers of Dayton are 1-3 on the year, prior to traveling to Valparaiso on Friday. One of their losses came against fellow Ohio Valley Conference foe SIU Edwardsville, as the Cougars earned a tough 4-3 victory over the Flyers.

Senior Kevin Bauman enjoys a team-best 3-1 singles mark as he has now won his last two matchups at the No. 5 spot. Sophomores Ryan Henderson and Robert Skolik follow with 2-2 records at No. 2 and No. 3/4 spots in the lineup, respectively.

The Panther duo of Henderson and fellow sophomore Rui Silva sport a 3-1 overall doubles mark at the No. 2 spot in the lineup and currently enjoy a two-match win streak.

"We have had everyone on the team play well at some point on this young season," said EIU assistant director of tennis and men's coach Eric Stark. "We are looking for a consistent effort from start to finish this weekend from top to bottom. I'm excited to see the areas where we have improved continue this weekend. Dayton is a good team and we are looking forward to a great match."

Following Sunday's play, the Panthers will continue road play at Southern Illinois next Saturday (Feb. 22), with first serve set for 1 p.m. in Carbondale's Sports Blast indoor facility.
