Final Results (PDF)SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Eastern Illinois men's and women's indoor track and field finished action at the prestigious Notre Dame Meyo Invitational on Saturday (Feb. 7), as the Panthers continued to set several new Top 10 marks over the course of the day.
Saturday highlights featured four women improving or adding their names to the 800-Meter Top 10, as
Kristen Paris improved on her #3 best time in the EIU record books with a 2:10.02 mark.
Julie James (2:15.21) and
Amy Yeoman (2:15.40) set new respective #9, and #10 finishes as well.
Maria Baldwin set a new Top 10 mark in the 3000-M Run as her 10:05.17 time now ranks #6 all-time and
Bryn Buckwalter's 46-0.5 throw in the shot put is the new #4 mark.
The men's 4x400-Meter Relay squad added respective Top 10 times, and
Norvel Mohammed improved on his previous EIU Top 10 tally in the 400-Meter Run as he now owns the second-fastest Panther finish off his 47.05 performance today.

Friday highlights included
Ephraim Dorsey setting a new school record time in the 600-Meter Run as he placed second overall with a 1:18.96 finish which improves his previous #3 Panther time.
Christian Ilunga-Matthiesen also advanced past the prelims to advance to the semi-finals in the 60-Meter Dash.
For the women, the EIU foursome of
Julie James,
Amina Jackson,
Dhiaa Dean, and
Kristen Rohrer shattered the EIU school record in the Distance Medley Relay as their 11:50.24 seventh place finish cut more than five seconds off the previous Panther best mark.
Meanwhile,
Jordan Wallace also added her name to the 5000-Meter Run Top 10 with a new #3 time of 17:13.99. Â Two additional runners improved and added their name to the 600-Meter Run career list as
Kristen Paris improved her Top 10 mark to now own the third fastest time of 1:34.96. Â
Amy Yeoman also earned a spot in the EIU Top 10 mark in the same race.
Next weekend both EIU squads will head north to Allendale, Mich. to compete in the Grand Valley State Big Meet all day on Friday (Feb. 13).
