UP NEXT: EIU's final home match will be moved to IUPUI on Wednesday Oct. 25 due to heavy rain in the Charleston area. Match start time has also been pushed back to 2 p.m.
FINISHING OUT THE SEASON: The Panthers will finish their season with a pair of road matches following Wednesday's relocated match. EIU will travel for a non-conference match at Valparaiso on Oct. 30 and finish conference and regular season play at Fort Wayne on Nov. 4.
SERIES HISTORY: EIU and IUPUI meet for the 14
th time on Wednesday. IUPUI currently holds a 6-4-3 advantage over the Panthers in their all-time series history. They last played each other in 2016. EIU traveled to Indianapolis and fell to the Jaguars 0-1. Both teams were scoreless until the 84
th minute of play when Pedro Valladao found the back of the net scoring the game winning goal. Both teams had 12 shots total. IUPUI took seven on goal while EIU took five on goal. 
Mike Novotny tallied five saves for the Panthers.
SCOUTING IUPUI: The Jaguars are 0-12-1 this season. IUPUI suffered seven shutouts so far this season. Their only tie came against SIUE on Oct. 18. The teams played to a 0-0 draw. Uriel Macias is IUPUI's player to watch. Macias has scored two goals and tallied one assist for the Jaguars. He has taken 12 shots with five on goal. Pedro Vallado leads IUPUI taking 14 shots with six on goal.
INJURIES AND RED CARDS: EIU is down several players heading into Wednesday's match. Several players are down with injuries. 
Jonathan Huerta and 
Alex Castaneda are out with ankle injuries. Castaneda hasn't played since Sept. 10. Huerta's last game was Oct. 7 at Denver. 
Marcus Menniti is facing a muscle strain and missed the last three games. In the last match against Belmont, two EIU players were given red cards. 
Erik Isaksson was given one following a fight on the field and faces a two game suspension. Goalkeeper 
Mike Novotny was also handed a red card in the Panthers last match and is suspended one game. Jonathon Burke would normally take his place in the net, but he suffered a broken wrist early on in the season. 
Ben Stone has stepped up for the Panthers and will likely make his first start in the net against IUPUI.
SUMMIT LEAGUE PLAY: EIU fell to fourth in the Summit League standings this week. They are currently 1-2-1 in the league. Denver claimed the top spot with a 3-0 record in the league. The Panthers must remain in the top four to play in the Summit League Tournament.
HEAD COACH: Kiki Lara is in his third season as EIU men's soccer head coach. Lara was hired as the men's soccer head coach in 2015 and was promoted to director of soccer overseeing both programs in the spring of 2015. Lara is a 2003 graduate of Incarnate Word and played in the USL First Division for five seasons. He came to EIU following a stint as the assistant men's soccer coach at Dayton.
