Tournament Results
VALPARAISO, Ind. – Eastern Illinois men's tennis wrapped up competition on Sunday at the two-day Valparaiso Fall Classic. The tournament featured teams from host Valpo, Eastern Illinois, Chicago State, DePaul and Wright State.
On Saturday three Panthers picked up wins in singles action with
Trent Reiman,
Gage Kingsmith and
Braden Davis all collecting wins.
Reiman beat William Morton in three sets (7-5, 4-6, 10-4). Kingsmith beat Javier Alvarez in straight sets ( 7-5, 6-2). Davis beat Varun Kalaiarasan in straight sets (6-2, 6-3).
The Panthers also picked up a couple of doubles victories against teams from Wright State. Reiman and
Freddie O'Brien won their match (7-6), winning the tie-breaker 7-3. Kingsmith and playing partner
Jared Woodson won their match (6-4).
