PLAINFIELD, Ill. – Eastern Illinois men's tennis opened its weekend action with a 7-0 sweep over North Central College. The Panthers picked up their third win of the season and will play Southern Utah tomorrow afternoon in Chicago.
The Panthers claimed the doubles point winning all three doubles matches.
Grant Reiman and
Logan Charbonneau picked up an 8-0 win playing at No. 3 doubles over Tyler Haizel and Tyler Bussell.
In singles action EIU won five of the six matches in straight sets. Reiman had the most decisive victory with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Adan Winters at No. 2 singles.
Freddie O'Brien won at No. 1 singles, Charbonneau won at No. 3 singles,
Trent Reiman won at No. 4 singles and
Braden Davis won at No. 6 singles in straight sets.
Gage Kingsmith won the third set tie breaker at No. 5 singles over Lucas Pindak picking up a 6-0, 4-6, 1-0 (3) win.
EIU is now 3-7 on the season. NCC falls to 2-5
