DAYTON, Ohio – Dayton men's tennis picked up a 4-0 win over Eastern Illinois on Sunday afternoon as the Panthers finished their two match weekend trip to Dayton, Ohio.
The Flyers won the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. EIU's No. 1 doubles team of
Freddie O'Brien and
Trent Reiman had their match left unfinished after Dayton won the point.
In singles action, Dayton won the three points it needed to lock up the victory beating the Panthers in straight sets at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 singles.
The Panthers top three singles players had their matches left unfinished. Freshman
Logan Charbonneau was tied at 3-3 in the second set with Carsten Fisher at No. 2 singles.Â
Grant Reiman had a 2-1 lead in the second set of his match at No. 3 singles.
EIU fell to 1-5 on the season and will play at Saint Louis next Friday afternoon. Dayton improved to 4-2.
