NORMAL, Ill. – Eastern Illinois men's tennis opened up its weekend on Friday afternoon suffering a 7-0 loss at Illinois State. The Panthers will play on Saturday afternoon at Rose-Hulman.
The Redbirds opened the contest winning all three doubles matches to secure the first point.
Gage Kingsmith and
Jared Woodson battled at No. 1 doubles before falling 7-5.
In singles action ISU was able to sweep all six points in straight sets. Playing at No. 6 singles
Braden Davis lost 6-4, 6-2 to Brandon Lew. Kingsmith lost at No. 4 singles to Manuel Bernhard 6-3, 6-2. Woodson lost his match at No. 5 singles 6-2, 6-2.
EIU dropped to 3-11 on the season. ISU improved to 9-4.
