Eastern Illinois men's and women's tennis hosted the EIU Panther Fall Invite this weekend playing on Friday in the Lantz Indoor Fieldhouse and outdoors on a cold day in Mattoon on Saturday.

In women's doubles action in the Flight B draw the tandem of
Lauren Ellis and
Brittany Steven won two of their three doubles matches. They won over Eastern Michigan on Friday 6-4 and then over Missouri State on Saturday, 6-3.

In men's flight B singles,
Thomas Wallace advance to the finals as he picked up wins of 8-2 and 8-4. His second win was over teammate
Gertjan De Wilder. He would lose in the finals to Pavel Badaiants of Saint Louis, 8-0

Kyle Burton would advance through the Flight C consolation draw to win and then played one additional match in the Flight B draw.

In men's doubles play Wallace and
Luka Knieling advanced to the finals before losing to a doubles team from Saint Louis, 7-5.
