LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Eastern Illinois men's tennis team wrapped up a successful weekend at the Louisville Invitational as the Panthers walked away with three doubles flight championships and one individual flight title.

Mike Jansen was unblemished in both singles and doubles action for the Panthers. Jansen won the Flight D singles title posting a 4-0 record. He won his opening match 6-2, 6-0 against Juan Parades of Louisville. He would then win 6-4, 6-3 in the second round and 6-3, 3-6, 10-5 in the semifinals. Jansen would again need three sets to win the flight championship as he beat Laurentiu Mandocescu of Youngstown State 4-6, 6-4, 10-5.

In doubles play, Jansen teamed with
Freddie O'Brien to win the Flight D doubles championship. The tandem beat a doubles team from Kennesaw State in the opening round, 7-6, before beating a team from Ball State in the second round. Jansen and O'Brien would win the doubles flight title against a team from Youngstown State. O'Brien would also win a pair of singles matches playing in the Flight C Singles bracket.

The Panthers would also bring home doubles flight championships in Flight E and Flight G. In Flight E, the team of
Daniel Hernandez and
Christos Kyrillou posted a 3-0 record. They won their opening match against a team from Temple, 6-4, before beating teams from Ball State and Wright State.

In Flight G,
Logan Charbonneau and
Pau Riera posted a 3-0 record. The team won their opening round match against a team from Wright State 7-6. They would then defeat teams from Belmont and Austin Peay to claim the flight win.
