Tennis Faces Busy Weekend On The Road

Panther men to play five matches, women have two scheduled contests

EIU men's and women's tennis get back to work this weekend with the men going up against four Illinois teams while the women travel to Indiana. 
 
Men
The Eastern Illinois men has a busy weekend ahead with Friday matches at Illinois Wesleyan beginning at12 p.m. and Illinois State at 6 p.m., Saturday against Wright State in DeKalb at 2 p.m., and wrapping up Sunday at Northern Illinois 10 a.m. and Saint Francis at 5 p.m. 
 
The Panthers are 3-2 on the season after a weekend of matches defeating Purdue Northwest 7-0 and Davenport University 4-2 and a loss to Michigan State 4-0. 
 
Logan Charbonneau is on a four-match win streak and Freddie O'Brien, Mike Jansen and Gage Kingsmith all picked up wins this past weekend. 
 
Women
Eastern Illinois will spend two days in Indiana at Ball State on Saturday in Muncie at 12 p.m. and Indianapolis on Sunday at 1 p.m. 
 
The EIU women suffered their first losses dropping matches to Bradley and Omaha 5-2 the past weekend in Peoria bringing their record to 3-2. 
 
No. 1 doubles Rachel Papavasilopoulos and Srishi Slaria won both their matches over the weekend and singles Shelby Anderson and Papavasilopoulos both captured a win. 
 
Ball Sate is 3-1 overall and Indianapolis is 1-0.
