River Forest Collegiate Information
Eastern Illinois men's tennis wrapped up two-day action at the River Forest Collegiate Tennis Classic with some solid opening performances.
Returning veteran
Thomas Wallace advanced to the championship of the men's No. 5 singles bracket. Wallace would beat Artem Iermolovov in the semifinals 6-3, 6-4 before falling the in the championship to Iker Gembitze of Northern Illinois.
Pau Riera also advanced through the winners bracket for EIU playing in No. 4 singles. Riera would place third in the men's event beating Kevin Kruzel of UIC, 6-4, 6-3.
Freshman
Alex Dinkov would post a 1-1 record in the No. 3 singles back draw placing seventh in the bracket.
Dinkov would play doubles with
Cameron Slabbert with the pair losing in the No. 3 flight doubles championship to a pair from Illinois State.
