LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Eastern Illinois women's swim team finished up their tri-meet at Bellarmine on Saturday afternoon with four first-place finishes. It was their final competition before returning to Padovan Pool next weekend.
Camryn Lewis,
Autumn Grinter, and
Corinne Staneart each earned golds at the meet. Lewis won the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.42, while Grinter finished first in the 100 freestyle with time of 54.58.
Meanwhile, Staneart clocked a time of 59.98 to capture first-place in the 100 butterfly.
Eastern's fourth win of the meet came in the 400 free relay, as the quartet of Panthers combined for a time of 3:44.55.
EIU also took home a pair of runner-up finishes, with
Autumn Grinter securing second-place in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.66 and
Olivia Viele earning a silver in the 100 fly with a time of 1:00.07.
EIU will host their first home meet of the season next week when they take on Quincy in a dual. The competition is scheduled for Saturday, October 28th at 1 p.m. at Padovan Pool.Â
