Eastern Illinois men's tennis will face Saint Louis on Thursday afternoon at the St. Clair Racquet Club in O'Fallon, Illinois for the Panthers lone match of the week.
EIU is 2-2 on the season after a loss last week at Northern Kentucky. In that match
Max Pilipovic-Kljajic moved in to play at No. 6 singles and picked up the lone point of the match for the Panthers with a two-set win including winning the second set on a tie-break.
Pau Riera and
Thomas Wallace both lead the Panthers in singles wins this season with two each. Riera has won playing at No. 3 singles with Wallace winning both of his matches at No. 5 singles.
EIU has used four different doubles combinations with the pairs of
Tyler Carlin &
Thomas Wallace and
Max Pilipovic-Kljajic &
Pau Riera each posting two wins.
SLU leads the all-time series between the schools 15-10 winning 5-2 last season. EIU had won three straight in the series prior to that with wins in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
