Women's Basketball Announces Non-Conference Schedule

Panthers with three home games at First Mid Court at Lantz Arena

Eastern Illinois women's basketball has released the non-conference portion of its schedule for the upcoming season which includes three home games and travel to a Holiday Tournament in Arizona.  The Ohio Valley Conference portion of the schedule will be released later this month as the conference welcomed Western Illinois as its 11th member in the late spring.
 
The Panthers open the season with a pair of trips to the Hoosier State with the opener on Nov. 6 at IUPUI before a Nov. 9 trip to play at Indiana.
 
EIU hosts Valparaiso for its home opener on Sunday, Nov. 12, the first of three home non-conference games.   The other home dates are Thursday, Dec. 7 against North Dakota for the Kid's Day Game and then a Dec. 15 game against Milwakuee.  The December 15 game will be played at Lake Land College with special promotions surrounding the contest.
 
EIU travels to the Southwest US for a Holiday Tournament with one additional road game on the way home.  EIU will play in the Grand Canyon Women's Basketball Classic in Phoenix, Ariz., on Nov. 24-25 before playing at New Mexico on Nov. 28 during the trip home.
 
Additional non-conference games in December are at Loyola-Chicago (Dec. 2), Bradley (Dec. 5), Wright State (Dec. 9), Northern Illinois (Dec. 18) and Wisconsin (Dec. 21).
 
EIU won 21 games last season including a 13-0 start to the Ohio Valley Conference season.
