Weekend Results
Cameron Slabbert and
Tyler Carlin picked up a pair of doubles wins for Eastern Illinois men's tennis as the Panthers played in the Bellarmine Fall Classic over the weekend.
Slabbert and Carlin won 8-6 over Randy Wilson and Artem Iermolov of UIC before adding an 8-4 win over Percy Siercke and Rodrigo Alves of Chicago State.
Pau Riera and
Zach White teamed up to post an 8-4 doubles win for the other Panthers doubles win.
In singles action, EIU picked up five wins in the weekend draw. Slabbert added to his weekend win total with a 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 win over Jack Batchelor of Bellarmine.
White also added to his weekend total with a win 6-0, 6-1 win over Reed Gahagan of Chicago State.
Jon Karlstad defeated Elliott Dam of UIC – 6-4, 6-3 and was joined by
Thomas Wallace and
Pau Riera with wins.  Wallace beat Iermolov in two sets 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) while Riera needed three sets to beat Alves 6-1, 2-6, 6-4.Â
