INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Eastern Illinois men's and women's swim teams opened up their 2024-25 campaigns with a dual at IU Indy on Friday afternoon.

Summit League Athlete to Watch Dismas Dillon earned a silver medal finish in the men's 50 freestyle with a time of 21.34. Dillon also contributed to another second-place finish in the 400 free relay as he combined forces with Zach Clark, Eddie Myers, and Conner Colston for a time of 3:13.13.

Myers also earned a second place finish in the 1,000 free (10:12.63) while Colston placed third in the 200 yard free (1:43.42).

Women's Athlete to Watch Corinne Staneart added another silver medal finish with a time of 2:29.13 in the 200 breaststroke. 

Meanwhile, Kaylan Ottosen picked up a pair of top three finishes with a second-place time in the 200 freestyle (2:02.99) and a third-place finish in the 100 free (56.70).

The Panthers will get two weeks off before their next meet at Valparaiso on Saturday, October 19^th.
