GAME 12
Eastern Illinois improved to 2-0 in the OVC for the third straight year as the Panthers closed out the 2024 fall semester with a 59-56 win at Little Rock.  The win moved EIU's record to 5-6 overall as they played one of their most difficult non-conference schedules in program history prior to opening conference play on the road at Southeast Missouri (W, 71-55) and Little Rock.  EIU hosts Lindenwood on Thursday night in a battle of two of the last three unblemished teams in the conference standings.  Lindenwood won its two opening OVC games at home to stand at 6-5 overall, 2-0 in the OVC.  

MCGLONE MAKES HISTORY
Macy McGlone ranked second in the NCAA last season setting the EIU single season record with 26 double-doubles during the season, that total ranking second in single season history in the OVC.  On Saturday at Little Rock, McGlone posted her fifth double-double this season (19 pts / 16 reb) which was the 35th of her EIU career moving her past Sabina Oroszova and Toni Collins for the school career record.  Earlier this season McGlone joined those two players along with Rachel Galligan as the only four Panthers with 1,000 points, 600 rebounds and 100 blocks for a career.  McGlone continues to climb up the EIU career charts in all three categories with 1,147 points (23rd), 712 rebounds (7th) and 118 blocks (5th).  Her 18 rebounds at Southeast Missouri are tied for the fourth highest single game total in school history.  McGlone holds the number three spot with 19 rebounds last season vs Tennessee State along with ranking fourth with 18 rebounds at Morehead State last year. 

ANOTHER GOOD OVC START FOR EIU
Eastern Illinois won its seventh straight Ohio Valley Conference season opener with a 71-55 win at Southeast Missouri.  EIU then posted its second straight season of starting OVC play 2-0 on the road with its win at Little Rock.  It marked the third time in program history EIU has started an OVC season 2-0 on the road (2012-13 other season).  The 2-0 start also marked the third straight year overall that the Panthers have opened OVC play 2-0 after going 2-0 in 2022-23 en route to a school record setting 13-0 start to the conference season.  EIU has now started an OVC season 2-0 nine total times in the Panthers 29 years as an OVC member.
