Eastern Illinois men's tennis opens its fall season this weekend as the Panthers play at the River Forest Collegiate event.
EIU returns three players from last year in
Tyler Carlin,
William Hays and
Zach White.
Eight collegiate teams will compete in the annual event played at the River Forest Tennis Club and Oak Park Tennis Centre in River Forest, just west of Chicago. The eight teams include Eastern Illinois, DePaul, Illinois State, Marquette, Northern Illinois, UIC, Washington University and Western Michigan.
Play runs on Friday and Saturday with a round of doubles on Friday morning followed by two rounds of singles play. On Saturday two rounds of doubles will take place in the morning with the final round of singles in the afternoon.
