Eastern Illinois men's tennis wrapped up play at the Illinois State Redbird Fall Invite over the weekend collecting ten wins in men's singles play and five wins in doubles action.
Alex Aldaz,
Ludolph Wiggett and
William Hays all picked up two wins in singles play.
Aldaz beat Evan Uhl of DePauw (6-1, 6-2) and TJ Ryerson of Marquette (1-6, 6-4, 10-5).
Wiggett beat Chase Hutchinson of DePauw (6-3, 6-4) and Kristian Blagoev of Marquette (6-4, 6-3).
Hays beat a pair of players from Marquette with wins over Teddy Wong (6-2, 6-1) and Koji Heineman (1-6, 7-5, 10-8).
EIU's other four wins in singles play came from
Zach White,
Pieke Bouman,
Tyler Carlin and
Gui Cauvilla.  White beat Jai Dutta (2-6, 7-5, 10-6) of IU Indy. Bouman beat John Fakouri of Washington University (6-3, 6-3). Carlin beat Wils Warren of DePauw (6-2, 6-2) and Cauvilla defeated Filippo Fassone of DePauw (6-3, 6-1).
In doubles play Wiggett and Aldaz played together picking up wins over DePauw and Marquette.Â
EIU's other doubles wins came by Carlin and Cauvilla against DePauw, Bouman and
Michael Schut against Washington University and
Duarte Trocado and White beating IU Indy.
