The Horizon League has released its preseason men's tennis information as the spring season opens for teams in the coming weeks.

EIU will play its third season as an affiliate member of the Horizon League for men's tennis with the Panthers selected to finish fifth in the South Division.

The two divisions consist of the four Horizon League members along with affiliate member Chicago State in the North Division while the South Division includes four Ohio Valley Conference schools and former OVC member Belmont.

Belmont was selected as the preseason South Division favorite with Cleveland State the North Division favorite. The top three schools in each Division advance to the Horizon League Championship on April 24.

EIU opens the 2025 Spring season next weekend playing two matches at Texas Tech on Saturday, January 18 with a Sunday evening match at Illinois State on the return trip home.
