Eastern Illinois men's tennis opens the 2025 spring season on Saturday as the Panthers face a busy weekend with two matches at Texas Tech before playing on Sunday evening at Illinois State during the return trip home.
Saturday's matches, which have been moved indoors due to weather, will start at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday's match in Bloomington, Ill., will start at 5 p.m.
EIU was picked to finish fifth in the Horizon League preseason poll released last week as the top three teams in both the North and South Divisions advance to the end of season conference tournament in Michigan.
The Panthers have three players returning from last season with seniors
Tyler Carlin and
Zach White along with junior
William Hays.Â
EIU bolstered its roster in the offseason with seven new players with senior

Michael Schut mixed in with five freshmen.
