Eastern Illinois vs. Olivet Nazarene

After opening their season at home against Valparaiso, EIU will hit the road for a single meet against Olivet Nazarene.
Men's Swimming: Three weeks ago was the last official scoring EIU swim meet, in which the Panthers faced Valpo. The previous meeting was an alumni meet featuring current and former EIU swimmers.
On the men's side, there were multiple impressive performances. Nolan Wallace took home two gold medals. First, Wallace won the Men's 200-Yard Breaststroke with a finishing time of 2:11.25. His second gold medal came from the Men's 100-Yard Breaststroke, finishing in 57.65 seconds.
Sebastian Rosales and Canyon Bain dominated the competition in the Men 100-Yard Butterfly. Rosales won the event with a first-place time of 52.54. Bain was a close second, finishing in 53.23 seconds.
Joseph Wyatt rounded out the first-place finishes, winning the 200-Yard Butterfly with a final time of 1:57.90.
Women's Swimming: Like the men's side, EIU women's swimming took home multiple first-place finishes.
Jenna Patridge led the way with two gold medals. Patridge won the 200 Yard Backstroke with a winning time of 2:09.30. She also won the 100-Yard Backstroke with a time of 59.74.
Genevive Biberdorf won the 200-Yard Breaststroke with a final time of 2:30.49. She also won the 200-Yard IM with a time of 2:18.13. Her third gold medal came from the 100-Yard Breaststroke with a winning time of 1:09.96.
The third winner for EIU was Sophia Buswell, who won the 100-Yard Butterfly in 58.69 seconds.
Head Coach: Scott Teeters enters his second season as head coach of the Panthers. The 10th head coach in program history has close to 40 years of coaching experience, with 25 seasons at the collegiate level. Under his direction, individuals and relays posted 26 EIU top ten marks and set 12 school records during the 2024-2025 season. This past season, he coached Summit League Scholar-Athlete of the Championship Nolan Wallace and the Dr. Gail Richard Sportsmanship Award winner Corinne Staneart in 2025.
About Olivet Nazarene: Olivet Nazarene men's swimming enters the contest at 1-1, beating Bethel before losing to Lewis University. The Tigers are led by the large senior class, which consists of nine swimmers. On the women's side, they enter the meet 0-2, losing to both Bethel and Lewis. The women's team also is led by a large senior class of eight swimmers. Olivet Nazarene is led by first-year head coach Mark Logan.
