The Summit League announced the 2025-2026 men's and women's preseason poll and players to watch
After wrapping up the season opener against Valparaiso this past Friday, the Summit League has just announced its preseason poll and players to watch for the upcoming 2025-2026 season campaign.
Men's Swimming: On the men's side, the Eastern Illinois Panthers were tabbed to finish 7th place in the Summit League.
Women's Swimming: The Eastern Illinois women's swimming team was selected to finish 7th place in the Summit League as well.

Men's Swimming Summit league Athlete to Watch:
In addition to the preseason polls, the Summit League released players to watch for the upcoming season. Nolan Wallace was named a Summit League Swimmer to Watch. Wallace After swimming in four meets and a couple of first-place finishes against Valpo, Nolan Wallace returns for his junior campaign. Wallace posted a season-bests time of 56.02 in the 100 Breast at the Summit League Championship, which ranked second on the EIU career top ten list. Last season, Wallace was named the summit League Scholar-Athlete of the Championships. In addition, he was a member of two record-setting relay teams in the 200 Medley Relay (1:30.240) and 400 Medley Relay (3:22.01), swimming the second leg on each relay team.
Women's Swimming Summit League Player to Watch:
The freshman, Sophia Buswell, was named a Summit League Athlete to Watch. In high school, she helped lead her team to the Central Valley Conference District Championship three years in a row. In addition, she holds the South Salem High School and Central Valley Conference district record in the 100 butterfly.
EIU will be back in action this Friday for the Alumni Meet.
