After opening Horizon League play at home outdoors last Saturday against Tennessee State, the Eastern Illinois men's tennis program will have a pair of road conference contests this week.
 
EIU lost its Horizon League opener to TSU, falling 5-2 to the Tigers at the Rex Darling Courts in Charleston.
 
This week EIU will play at Southern Indiana on Wednesday and then travel to Belmont on Saturday.   EIU will play a non-conference match at Oakland City on Wednesday evening while in Evansville.
 
Against TSU Zach White picked up the lone win in singles play as he picked up a three-set win at No. 3 singles.   It was his second win in his last four matches and fourth overall singles win this spring.
 
White played with Tyler Carlin in doubles as the pair improved to 6-1 in doubles play this season.  When playing at the No. 2 slot in the doubles rotation, White and Carlin are now 6-0 including Saturday's 6-2 win over TSU.
 
Pieke Bouman and Duarte Trocado won at No. 3 doubles to help EIU clinch the overall doubles point against the Tigers.  Bouman and Trocado are now 3-0 on the season playing together in doubles.
