Eastern Illinois junior Aleyla Wooten has been named the Ohio Valley Conference co-Singles Player of the Week following her win on Saturday against SIUE.
 
Wooten picked up a three-set win against the Cougars top seeded player winning 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 at the No. 1 singles spot.  The win clinched the overall match for EIU as they won 4-3.
 
Wooten now has six singles wins this season as the Panthers head to the OVC Championships this Thursday in St. Louis where EIU will face No. 3 seed Bryant at 6 p.m.
