Eastern Illinois baseball swept its final regular season weekend series over Western Illinois to lock up the 2025 Ohio Valley Conference regular season championship.

The Panthers played some of their best baseball of the season down the stretch winning eight of their last nine OVC contests to lock up the regular season title.

EIU would play as the No. 1 seed in the OVC Tournament and lost in the championship game.

It was the first regular season OVC title for EIU since 2009 and the fifth OVC regular season championship overall (1998, 1999, 2001, 2009, 2025).

EIU ended the season with 31 wins marking the third time in the last four seasons that EIU won 30 or more games.   It was the fifth time in the last six years EIU had posted a winning overall record.

Jason Anderson was named the OVC Coach of the Year with Mike O'Conor and Tyler Kapraun both earning first team All-OVC honors.
