Eastern Illinois will travel to Iowa City, Iowa, for the 2026 Summit League Championships. The four-day event will begin on Wednesday, February 18th, at 12:30 PM. Both the men's and women's teams were selected 8th overall in the Summit League preseason prediction.  Denver was picked to win both the men's and women's. 



Zach Clark

Zach Clark enters the championship with a league-leading time in the 50 free at 18.87 seconds, which qualifies as an NCAA Standard. Clark's time is also a Top 10 All-Time Performance this season in the Summit League.  



2025 Championships: At the 2025 Summit League Championships, both the men's team and women's team finished in 7th place, with the men's team collecting 193 points, while the women's team earned 184 points. Denver University collected both championship trophies. EIU recorded nine school records and 37 top ten times.  



Last Time Out 

Men's Swimming: 

The men's team has not competed since January 30th, when they faced Southern Illinois in a dual meet. They fell short to the Salukis 187-56.  Alexander Sadowski was a standout performer, including a gold medal in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a finals time of 50:14, which ranks 4th all-time in EIU history. Simonas Rimskis showed a strong performance in the 50 Yard Freestyle, earning a silver medal with a time of 21.31. Nolan Wallace continues to earn top ten finishes, including a third-place finish in the 100 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 57.29, ranking 9th all-time in program history.  



Women's Swimming:  

The women's team competed on February 7th against the University of Illinois, in which they dropped the dual meet 157-77. The 200 Yard Medley Relay Squad kicked off the meet with a second-place finish with a time of 1:50.61. The relay squad consisted of Jenna Patridge, Genevieve Biberdorf, Sophia Buswell, and Bella Earll. Patridge earned a second-place finish in the 200 Yard Backstroke with a time of 2:09.74. Earll secured a silver medal in the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 54.97. Following closely behind her, Biberdorf earned third place with a time of 57.55. Biberdorf also earned a second-place finish in the 100 Yard IM with a time of 1:01.67, which ranks 6th fastest in EIU history. She now holds the 5th and 6th fastest 100 Yard IM time.
