CHARLESTON, Ill. -- Competing in their final home meet of the season, the Eastern Illinois men's and women's swimming squads host regional foe Saint Louis on Saturday, with first splash set for noon at EIU's Ray Padovan Pool. The meet has been designated as senior day.

Both the Panther men and women currently sport 5-2 and 4-3 dual marks, respectively, and enjoy a three-match win streak apiece.

With the end-of-season Summit League Championship next on the docket, both squads will continue to improve on individual times plus look to sweep the Billikens in dual meet action this season, after previously dunking SLU on the road last November. The men won, 114-107 and the women, 124-94.

Saint Louis, meanwhile, come to town with 15-7 and 16-10 records for the men and women. This is also the final regular-season dual meet for the Billikens as they will next compete in their own Atlantic 10 championship in Buffalo, N.Y.

"We had a really good meet against them at their place last November," said second year head coach Matt Bos. "The guys meet came down to the last relay, while the girls jumped up on them early and held on for the win."

Prior to the start of meet, six Panther seniors will be honored before competing for the final time in Padovan Pool. There are with five seniors on the women's side – Sarah Jones (Palatine, Ill.), Kellie Logterman (Rockford, Ill), Laura Nilsen (Orland Park, Ill.), Lauren Stotts (Oak Forest, Ill.), and Lauren Zillmer (Park Ridge, Ill.); and just one lone senior for the men -- Brian Strole (Downers Grove, Ill.).

"It's going to be a tough competition going into our last couple of weeks," said Bos. "For one thing, we are trying to prepare for our league meet, yet at the same time we have a really tough Saint Louis squad ahead of us. I expect people to go out and compete hard and pick up some good wins and have a tight meet."

Following Saturday's dual, the Panthers will have nearly two weeks to prepare for the Summit League Championships, hosted by league foe IUPUI in Indianapolis. Last season, the men and women finished in 3rd place and 5th place, respectively, while perennial power Oakland won both team titles. Last year, eight Panthers earned a spot on the All-Conference list, including current Eastern swimmers Tyler Crittenden, Matt Scaliatine, Cody Showers, and Lauren Zillmer.
