PEORIA, Ill. -- The Eastern Illinois men's tennis squad lost a 6-1 match at Bradley on Wednesday afternoon. The defeat drops the Panthers to 1-8 on the season.
Freshman Kevin Bauman earned the lone Eastern victory in singles play, hitting past his Braves opponent at the No. 6 spot in the lineup. The win ups his overall record to 5-4 on the season, leading all Panther competitors.
Bauman also joined sophomore Warren Race for the only Panther win in doubles, as EIU lost the all-important duo point.
Next up for the Eastern men will be the official outdoor home opener on Tuesday, March 8. The 2 pm contest is set to be played at EIU's own Rex Darling Courts, weather permitting.
