CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Eastern Illinois men's tennis squads dropped a 5-2 match at Southern Illinois on Wednesday (April 6) afternoon.

With the loss, the squad's sixth straight, the Panther men fall to 2-14 on the season.

After failing to tally the all-important doubles point, EIU was only able to pick up a couple of singles wins.

Freshmen Kevin Bauman and Volodymyr Zverkovsky each defeated their respective SIU opponent at No. 4 and No. 6 in the singles lineup.

The Panther men will prepar for the squad's regular-season home finale on Saturday, hosting Ohio Valley Conference foe Murray State at the Rex Darling Courts, with first serve set for 11 am.
