CHARLESTON, Ill. -- Eastern Illinois men's tennis will host instate rival Chicago State in a single match on Thursday (March 29) afternoon.  First serve is set for 2:30 p.m. at EIU's Rex Darling Courts.

The Panthers enter the match at 1-8 on the year, while the Cougars of Chicago are winless at 0-15.

Eastern is led on the court by senior Jamie Firth, who owns 3-6 overall singles mark as he has seen action at both the No. 3 and No. 4 spots in the lineup. 

When teamed with newcomer David Constantinescu, the pair owns a 5-3 duo record, playing mostly at No. 2, while also currently riding a four-match win streak heading into Thursday's action.

Next up for the Panthers will be a pair of road Ohio Valley Conference matchups set for this coming weekend.  The guys will join the EIU women's squad at Eastern Kentucky and Morehead State on Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1, respectively, with first serves set for 10 a.m. both days.
