CHARLESTON, Ill. -- Eastern Illinois women's tennis will look to snap a four-match losing streak on Friday (March 9), as the Panthers travel to Peoria to face Bradley. First serve has been moved to a 12:30 p.m. start at the Clubs at River City North.
The Panthers enter the weekend at 2-6 at the near mid-point of the season. Most recently EIU fell 7-0 at Illinois State last weekend.
Both senior
Amanda Dibbs and sophomore
Janelle Prisner lead EIU with 4-4 records in singles action. Prisner is 4-3 all-time when playing at the top of the lineup, while Dibbs is a perfect 1-0 at the No. 3 spot.
In Panther doubles, Prisner and junior
Merritt Whitley lead the squad with a 4-4 mark at the No. 1 duo spot, while the team of
Annie Egan and
Jennifer Kim are 1-1 at No. 3.
The Braves, at 2-10 overall, are also riding a four-match losing streak, plus BU has already lost to fellow Ohio Valley Conference foes Southeast Missouri and SIU Edwardsville by respective scores of 6-1 and 5-2.
Following Friday's action the Panthers will have nearly two weeks to prepare for the squad's home opener versus IUPUI on Tuesday, March 20. First serve is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at EIU's Rex Darling Courts.
