PEORIA, Ill. -- Eastern Illinois women's tennis remains undefeated on the early-season action following a 4-3 road win over instate rival Bradley on Friday (Feb. 21) afternoon, with the match played inside the Clubs of River City in Peoria.

Having now won three matches via a score of 4-3 this season, the Panthers sport a perfect 4-0 mark on the year, while the Braves fall to 1-4 overall.

EIU got off to a hot start as the Panthers won all three doubles matches to nab the all-important duo point.

Eastern then followed with three singles wins for the final margin of victory, as Ali Foster, Kelly Iden and Janelle Prisner added victories in their respective matchups.

The duo of junior Sephora Boulbahaiem and Prisner improved to 4-0 overall off an 8-3 win at the top of the doubles lineup, while the EIU teams of Foster/sophomore Hannah Kimbrough and Iden/newcomer Kamile Stadalninkaite earned respective 8-5 and 8-4 wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots.

Foster nabbed the first EIU singles win at No. 4 behind straight set wins of 6-2, 6-2. The victory improves the sophomore to a perfect 4-0 on the season.

After Bradley added a win at No. 2, freshman Iden countered with a 6-1, 6-4 Eastern victory at No. 3. The Braves again earned a No. 6 bout win, before senior Prisner ultimately gave the Panthers the match win thanks to her come-from-behind three-set victory (5-7, 6-2, 6-3) at the top of the lineup.

Panthers return to the court on Sunday (Feb. 23), traveling to Homewood, Ill., to face Chicago State at 3 p.m.
