GAME 16:
EIU heads back out on the road as they travel to Nashville to take on the Belmont Bruins Saturday [Jan. 9] afternoon. The Panthers are still seeking that elusive first conference win after Tennessee State rallied late in the third quarter to take the lead against EIU eventually winning 62-53. TSU out-rebounded the Panthers 57-33 during the game. Belmont welcomes the Panthers seeking their first OVC victory as well. The Bruins are currently on a six game losing streak having dropped their opening conference games to Southeast Missouri and SIU Edwardsville.

LENNOX LEADS THE WAY AGAIN:
Grace Lennox had another stellar all-around performance for EIU against Tennessee State. The sophomore guard played all 40 minutes of the game for the third time this season. Shakita Cox and Erica Brown have only had one game each with 40 minutes of time on the court and are the only other Panthers to play an entire game. Lennox finished the game against TSU leading the team with 15 points, five assists, and five steals.

PANTHERS STEAL THE SHOW:
In three of the last four games the Panthers have recorded at least 10 steals throughout a game. The Panthers have earned 42 steals over the past four games with Grace Lennox and Shakita Cox combining to record 21 steals by themselves. EIU's ability to get to the ball has won them the turnover battle in three of the last four games having recorded only 12 turnovers against Tennessee State, one of the lowest totals of the season so far.
