CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Eastern Illinois men's tennis team lost another close call 4-3 to the Governors of Austin Peay on Saturday in Clarksville, Tenn. 

The Panthers record drops to 3-10 on the season and a conference record of 1-2. The Governors improved to 2-7 on the season and are now 1-3 in the OVC conference.

In singles play, wins came from EIU's Ryan Henderson [3-6, 7-5, 7-6], Robert Skolik [6-4, 7-6], and Ognjen Jevtic [7-5, 6-2]. Grant Reiman [6-7, 6-3, 6-2] and Trent Reiman [1-6, 7-6, 6-0] both took their opponents to a third set but lost their prospective matchups. 

In doubles play, Austin Peay captured the match point with the closest match in doubles competition coming from the Reiman brothers who lost 6-3. 

EIU men's team is set to play two duals next weekend for the first time this year in Charleston, Ill. facing Belmont on Fri. [Apr. 1] at 2:00pm and Tennessee State on Sat. [Apr. 2] at 10:00 am.
