ISU Redbird Duals Results
NORMAL, Ill. – Eastern Illinois women's tennis wrapped up its 2017 fall schedule as the Panthers competed on Saturday and Sunday at the Illinois Redbird Duals. The two-day event featured teams from Eastern Illinois, Illinois State, Butler and Saint Louis.
During the weekend format
Srishti Slaria posted a 3-0 record in singles play. The junior opened with a straight set win over Lauren Marx of Butler winning 6-2, 6-3 on Saturday morning. On Saturday afternoon Slaria picked up a 6-3, 6-4 win over Ariana Rodriguez of Saint Louis. Slaria wrapped up play on Sunday with a singles win over Jana Kustkova of Illinois State (7-6 (5), 7-5).
Freshman Rachel Papavasilopolous continued her solid debut season with the Panthers going 2-0 in singles play for the weekend. She defeated Bailey Padgett of Butler (6-2, 7-6 (4) during Saturday's opening round. On Sunday she beat Veronika Golonova of Illinois State (7-6 (9-7), 7-5).
Abby Carpenter finished her weekend with a 2-1 record in singles play. Carpenter won both of her matches on Saturday before falling on Sunday. She beat Carla O'Bryne of Butler (6-2, 6-2) in the opening round. On Saturday afternoon she beat Carolina McAuley of Butler (6-2, 6-3) as a substitute opponent for Saint Louis in dual play. On Sunday, Carpenter lost (5-7, 0-6) to Valerija Gercar of Illinois State.

Emily Pugachevsky and
Karla Contreras both posted singles wins over Butler while
Claire Martin picked up a singles win over Saint Louis.
