CARBONDALE, Ill. - Friday afternoon marked another tough match for the Panther men's tennis team as they were defeated by Southern Illinois 6-1. This marks their eighth loss this year now standing at 1-8 on the season.
The highlight performance of today's match came from Marko Stefan Janjusic in the No. 5 position defeating his opponent Peter Molloy, 7-5, 6-1.Only in his freshman year, Janjusic continues to perform well throughout matches with a 4-5 overall singles record.
After losing 4 straight matches the Eastern Illinois men's tennis team hopes to bounce back during Sunday's match against Saint Joseph's College. The match, which will take place in Champaign, Ill., will mark the first ever meeting in program history as the Panthers look to remain undefeated at home.
