DAYTON, Ohio - The Eastern Illinois men's tennis team concluded their first match of the weekend losing to Dayton 7-0 Friday evening. The loss places the Panthers at 2-12 on the season.
Dayton improves to 9-7 on the year and also breaks a two match losing streak against the Panthers which brings the series record to an even 3-3.
Jared Woodson and Brandon Davis were stand out guys as they played competitive first sets however, they would be defeated 7-6, 6-2, and 7-5, 6-3 respectively.
The EIU men's tennis team looks to bounce back with a win against Wright State, a team the Panthers have had success against in the past, in their second game of the weekend.
The match is scheduled for Saturday in Dayton at 1:30 p.m.
