DAYTON, Ohio - The Eastern Illinois men's tennis team ended the weekend in Ohio 0-2 after being swept by Wright State 7-0 on Saturday. The loss extends a five-match losing streak for EIU and places the Panthers at 2-13 on the season.

Wright State earned their first match win ever against EIU since the teams first met in the early 90's. This improves their season record to 3-10 and 1-3 against the Panthers in the all-time series. 

Grant Reiman and Trent Reiman were very competitive in Saturday's match. The twins forced their Wright State opponents to a third set from the No. 2 and No. 4 positions. Trent Reiman took Javier Alvarez to the limit, but eventually fell 5-7, 6-3, 1-0 (9). 

The Panthers only match win of the day came in doubles play as Gage Kingsmith and Grant Reiman defeated their Raider counterparts 7-5 in the No. 1 position to earn their first win as a pair this season.

Next week the Panthers will travel to Jacksonville, Ala. Friday (Mar. 17) to open conference play at Jacksonville State. Then on Saturday (Mar. 18), EIU will face Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, Tenn. with the match time still to be announced.
