CHARLESTON, Ill. - The Eastern Illinois women's tennis team will do their best to snap a two-match losing streak this weekend heading to Tennessee for a matchup Friday afternoon against Belmont followed by Tennessee State Saturday morning.
Eastern is 7-3 on the road this season and 9-6 overall with a 1-2 conference record.

Kelly Iden recorded her 10th win on the season to tie
Stella Cliffe with a matching 10-5 singles record.
Emily Pugachevsky recorded her third straight win against the Colonels to improve to 8-2 in singles play. The freshman is undefeated in conference play with a 2-0 singles record.
Heading into Friday's match, the Bruins currently sport a similar 1-3 OVC record having lost their last three matches in a row for a 3-12 overall record. All three of Belmont's wins this season have come at home.
The Panthers have the upper hand over the Bruins with a 5-2 all-time record. EIU has won the last four meetings in a row against Belmont including last year's 7-0 sweep.
Following Friday's match the Panthers will stay in Nashville to take on Tennessee State Saturday at 10 a.m. The Tigers will face an undefeated SIUE team before hosting the Panthers.
TSU is on a four game losing streak going into the weekend opening OVC play 0-4 to fall to 6-4 on the year. EIU has done notoriously well against the Tigers in the past holding a 16-1 series record over TSU.
Following this weekend's matches, the Panthers return to Charleston to host OVC opponents Murray State and Austin Peay Friday (Apr. 7) and Saturday (Apr. 8).
