DANVILLE, Ill. - The Eastern Illinois women's tennis team closed out their three-match home stand falling to DePaul 6-1 in Danville, Ill. Sunday afternoon.

Following the loss EIU drops to 8-3 this season while the Blue Demons get above .500 with a 7-6 overall record.

DePaul nearly pulled off the sweep winning all three doubles matches and six of the seven singles matches in straight sets.

Only freshman Stella Cliffe was able to pick up a singles victory topping DePaul's Patricia Lancranjan 6-3, 6-4 in the No. 2 spot. Cliffe is now the only Panther in doible-figures this year sporting a 10-1 singles record winning her fourth straight match.

The panthers look to close out their non-conference season with a win at Drake Sunday (mar. 12) at 11 a.m.
