PEORIA, Ill. – Eastern Illinois women's tennis had one individual and one doubles team advance to the finals of their respective brackets as the Panthers completed play at the Bradley Fall Invite in Peoria on Sunday.

Freshman
Rachel Papavasilopoulos advanced to the championship match of the Flight A Singles bracket with wins over Jelena Vujicic of Illinois State on Friday (6-4, 6-0) and Lenka Antonijevic of DePaul on Saturday (6-3, 7-6 (6). Papavasilopoulous would have to withdraw from Sunday's championship match against Sandra Maletin of Bradley due to injury.

In women's doubles action the Panthers double team of
Claire Martin and
Srishti Slaria advanced to the championship match of the Flight B Doubles bracket. They defeated doubles teams from Illinois State on Friday and DePaul on Saturday to advance to Sunday's finals. In the finals Martin and Slaria fell to Alexa Brandt/Malini Wijesinghe of Bradley, 6-4.

Slaria would pick up a third place individual finish for EIU playing in Flight B Singles. She beat Courtney Lubbers of Western Illinois (6-3, 6-4) in Sunday's consolation match. Slaria won her Friday match over Maria Potsi of Northern Illinois (6-2, 6-2). She would lose in the semifinals to Veronika Golanova of Illinois State (0-6, 2-6).

The three day fall tournament included individuals from Bradley, Eastern Illinois, DePaul, Northern Illinois, Illinois State and Western Illinois.
