KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Eastern Illinois women's tennis wrapped up the fall portion of the Panthers schedule over the weekend at the Western Michigan Hidden Duals.
During the weekend of competition the Panthers posted four singles wins and four doubles wins in action against Western Michigan, Milwaukee and Oakland.
Rachel Papavasilopoulos won two of her three singles matches at the event. She opened with a 6-1, 7-6 win over Mayya Perova of Milwaukee in round one. In round two Papavasilopoulos picked up a win over Alexander Bella of Milwaukee winning 7-6 (7-6), 6-1. In her third round match, Papavasilopoulos lost in straight sets to Ava Theilman of Oakland, 6-3, 6-1.
Srishti Slaria won her first round match over Darya Maltseva of Oakland. Slaria won 0-6, 6-3, 1-0.
Abby Carpenter won her opening round match against Alexandra Whall of Oakland winning 6-3, 4-6, 11-9.
In doubles play Papavasilopoulos teamed with Slaria winning in the first and second rounds. Their first round win, 6-2, was against a Western Michigan doubles team. They beat an Oakland doubles team in the second round, 6-3.

Claire Martin teamed to win a first round doubles match, 6-2, over Milwaukee. Carpenter and
Karla Contreras won a second round doubles match 6-1 over Milwaukee.
